Fitness is a booming industry. This course looks at good practice in fitness instructing by working to a common standard which is nationally recognised, and aims to enhance the status of employees within the fitness industry.
The course will help you to find employment in the fitness industry. You will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to plan, deliver and evaluate safe and effective fitness instruction sessions in the gym. You can earn money from your enjoyment of health and fitness, and meet and work with interesting people.

To gain the NCFE Level 2 qualification, you will need to successfully complete a portfolio of work and submit recorded practical training sessions (for example, in DVD format) of your planning and instructing a client, and demonstrating the required competences to organise fitness instructing programmes. A qualified person will need to be present during the training session.
You do not need to have any additional qualifications before studying this course.
Learners should be aged 16 or above to undertake this qualification.
You will also need to be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym-Based Exercise) is a regulated qualification. This means it is a nationally recognised qualification, regulated by Ofqual in England.
This course has a credit value of 23 total credits.
Your first course materials will be sent to you when you enrol. You can then start straight away and progress through the training when and where you wish, with support from experienced tutors by phone and email. You will also be able to complete a selection of assignments throughout your course that you can then submit for tutor feedback.
