Herbalism courses

All animal life depends upon the existence of plants. They are necessary to produce oxygen, to supply food and to provide shelter.

When Man first started to look for means of curing his ailments, it was to the plant kingdom that he turned. Today, over three-quarters of medicine taken across the Globe is derived from herbs.

The medicinal use of herbs is said to be as old as mankind itself. Today international scientific research has confirmed irrefutably the healing powers of the herbs used by Herbalists.

The World Health Organisation estimates that, worldwide, herbalism is three to four times more commonly practised than conventional medicine, and even conventional doctors rely heavily on plant-based medicines. This course trains the student thoroughly in the use of ‘Nature’s Pharmacy’.

Our Advanced Herbalism course is an excellent follow-on.

This course was written for BSY by a medical doctor and herbalist.
