Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a way for complementary therapists and health practitioners to learn and develop throughout their working lives, keeping their skills, knowledge and experience up to date in order to work safely, effectively and legally. Many practitioners undertake CPD as a requirement of membership of a professional body, and many others do so simply because it is good practice. The subjects included in these short modules are intended to be of relevance to practitioners in many fields – holistic therapists, chiropodists, counsellors, beauty therapists etc. Theoretical study is combined with a number of tasks for completion. Theses allow students to decide the effort they want to contribute and see reflected in the hours/points awarded.
