Our accreditations/recognition shows that your interests are protected by independent bodies that ensure you receive training to the appropriate standard.
Our affiliations enable BSY to keep up to date with good practice and many aspects of complementary medicine and natural health.
Accreditations
Open and Distance Learning Quality Council (ODLQC)
BSY is an ODLQC accredited college and has achieved their Mark of Quality. This accreditation means you can receive quality training, underpinned by a rigorous code of practice. Having achieved the ODLQC accreditation, BSY is a government-registered training provider and an approved distance learning training provider for overseas students.
NCFE
BSY is an approved and licenced NCFE training provider. This can enable you to gain formal recognition from a national awarding body for your studies. Gaining an NCFE Award shows that you have completed a validated training course at a recognised level of study. NCFE is regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual).
OCN
OCN Credit4Learning (OCNOTC) is a nationally recognised external awarding body. Successfully completing an OCN accredited course with BSY enables you to gain additional recognition for the skills you have learnt. OCN Credit4Learning credits are also accepted as a means of entry to further education and university education.OCN Credit4Learning (OCNOTC) is an Access Validating Agency (AVA) licensed by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education. It is regulated by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA).
The Guild of Beauty Therapists
The Guild of Beauty Therapists accredits relevant BSY courses. When you have successfully completed one you are eligible for full Guild membership and entitled to use the letters MGPBT after your name. The Guilds of Beauty Therapists is the UK’s largest professional beauty trade association with a strict code of ethics.
Affiliations
Association of British Correspondence Colleges (ABCC)
BSY is a member college of the ABCC and have agreed to abide by a rigorous code of ethics to give you an assurance of quality and fair dealing.
Counselling (CCC)
Counselling Limited is a charitable professional membership organisation for counsellors and psychotherapists in the British Isles. Graduates of certain BSY counselling and stress management courses are eligible to apply for registration, which will entitle them to use ‘Counselling Registered Counsellor’ on their stationery.
The Parliamentary Group for Integrated and Complementary Healthcare (PGICH)
The PGICH aims to develop knowledge by the exchange of information between politicians and those involved in complementary medicine. As an active member of the PGICH, BSY regularly attends the House of Commons for meetings, ensuring we keep abreast with the latest developments and proposals that may affect complementary healthcare.
Association of Holistic and Complementary Practitioners (AHCP)
Membership of the AHCP demonstrates that you have been trained to an appropriate level and follow a code of practice. The association also incorporates a new yoga arm containing a yoga teacher register for access by the general public.
BSY is proud to sponsor the AHCP. Membership of the AHCP allows you to use the letters AHCP (Reg) after your name and the AHCP logo on business stationery.
The Friendly Group of Spiritual Healers Associations (FSHA)
The BSY Professional Spiritual Healing courses are recognised by FSHA and can entitle you to membership. The Friendly Group currently represents approximately 2,000 full and probationer healers.
Memberships
British Holistic Medicine Association (BHMA)
The BHMA’s mission is to educate doctors, health professionals and the general public about holistic medicine. The BHMA keeps BSY updated on many aspects of complementary medicine, including reports and articles on research findings, new therapies, debates on holism, etc.
Fitness Industry Association (FIA)
The FIA is the key industry body representing all organisations within the UK fitness industry. BSY is an FIA Educational Member offering courses in physical fitness, clinical fitness training and associated nutritional needs.
